Extending an I-beam??

That would beat the hell out of filing the corner by hand, wouldn't it? If the router were mounted in a table, even better,,,

Likewise, I have not welded alum nor do I have the talent. It's getting bolted together.

Clamp the aluminum stock to a table with the edge you want to bevel exposed and you just run the router over it.... Not much different than a piece of wood, really... If you want I'll bring over my router and a few bits and we can do it.... I got the router to cut the H2 wheels and I've only used it for a few other projects. The bits are from HF, but they seem to work fine so far.

We can weld or huck it. I can do either.

Routing the aluminum is easy. I have a 4hp router for that with guide bearings.

Hory Clap!!! Two UPS guys just wrestled 2 8' aluminum I-beams out of their truck and onto my porch.  Less than 24 hours from order to arrival. Two thumbs up for OnlineMetals.com.

...and thanks Jerry, I do consider myself a tremendous slouch!

Holy doo-dee, let me know what you paid for that, I'm interested to see what the place right near your house would have charged.

$220 each. The problem that I have with the place right near my house is that they were not at all helpful to the little guy like me. I tried them but they were not at all willing to try and figure out what I had and needed to match. I'd be interested in their pricing just for S&Gs.

Yes, for now.. I gooped them to try and cut down on the dissimilar metals issue. Plan is to replace them with fancy-schmancy, alum huck bolts at some point.

What is the overall thickness? I need to order them to the closest 1/16".

How many do you need? Can you get 110psi of air down there

I strayed from the flock and used 1/2 bolts instead of 3/4. The pattern I wanted took ALOT of meat using 3/4". I presume your guns only do 1 size each, right?

Total thickness is 1.25". I think I can get sufficient air down there.

Yeah, the pull jaws are shaft specific. I don't have a 1/2" set.  A set of jaws is about 900.00.
